What We Collect
Dressed collects only what's needed to provide your personal styling experience:
- Apple ID identifier — used solely for authentication. We never see your email or name unless you choose to share it.
- Wardrobe photos — stored securely in AWS S3. Used only for AI analysis and your personal closet.
- Style preferences — your selected styles, budget range, and chat history with the AI stylist.
What We Don't Collect
- No email address required
- No location data
- No contacts or social graph
- No advertising identifiers
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to power your personal styling experience. We never sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Third-Party Services
Dressed uses the following services to provide its features:
- Anthropic (Claude) — processes wardrobe photos and chat messages to provide styling recommendations. Data is sent securely and not retained by Anthropic beyond the request.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — stores wardrobe photos (S3) and account data (RDS) on encrypted infrastructure in the US.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple for authentication. On-device processing for background removal and instant item detection never leaves your device.
Data Storage
Account data is stored in encrypted databases (AWS RDS). Wardrobe photos are stored in AWS S3 with access controlled by time-limited pre-signed URLs. On-device features (background removal, instant detection, outfit suggestions via Apple Foundation Models) process data locally and never transmit it.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's Profile > Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, wardrobe items, photos, outfits, chat history, and all personal data. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
